  • Glow

Rather like how this image almost seems to glow. Or is that just me (Am I nuts? Hope not.)? Anyway, even though I tend towards darker palettes, I like how this turned out— the glow of the softer colors helps add lightness and depth to what could’ve turned into a rather gloomy piece. What do…

  • Recent Clouds

It’s been a while since I pulled together a collection of cloud pictures (Like this one and this one). Here are few more from the semi-recent past: How has everyone’s week been so far?

  • Daily D’Art–Day 317

Wondering what all of these cat portraits are about? It’s part of a daily project I’m undertaking this year. Read more about the project here.

  • Vandring

A few more from my last walkabout through Copenhagen. The building in the second picture was under construction when I snapped these, wonder how it looks now.

  • Unearthed

During the recent cleaning ( and purging ) of my main hard drive, I’ve unearthed discarded folders of old work drafts and unpublished photos that have kept me busy for the last few days. This weekend was spent concentrating on photos, so today I’m focusing on illustrations to give my eyes and brain a break.…

  • Engraved

Would love to know what was hidden under the paper-y residue on the rest of this engraved brass plate. And a few textures from Copenhagen:

  • Contrasts

Whenever I’m in Copenhagen, I try to pay a visit to the Design Museum. Enough time lapses between my visits that when I return, there’s always something new and different to see. During one of my tours of the museum, there was a dramatic lighting installation of aluminum. Oddly enough, it shared a space with…

  • House

The last time I was in Copenhagen it was very gloomy and on a walk around town this sign caught my eye. Without realizing it at the time, it seems I also snapped a bit of a self-portrait while trying to capture this lovely type.

  • Beetle wings

Can’t help but thinking of jewel beetles when I look through these images. Took these a few years ago in a railyard and am a little stunned they’ve just been collecting dust in a folder until now.

  • F

While sorting photos recently, it struck me that I have unwittingly amassed a collection of photos of the letter ‘F.’ Strange, really. Here are a few: I think I like this second to last one the best.

  • Valve

Kinda wish this metal plate was located on the side of my building— the rhythm of letterforms and the moody color gradient are so simple and pleasant.

  • Daily D’Art–Day 310

School portrait day. Ok, not really but sort of reminds me of school portraits the kids bring home this time of year.
