While once again read­ing the NYTimes, I came across an arti­cle dis­cussing the increas­ing trend of buy­ing Amer­i­can made.

It makes me won­der though, how the increased desire or demand for local prod­ucts will affect the demand and use of raw mate­ri­als. How far does the def­i­n­i­tion of “Made in Amer­ica” extend? Does the increas­ingly afflu­ent lefty class of peo­ple scru­ti­niz­ing labels for “Made in Amer­ica” know or care where the raw mate­ri­als came from that yielded their new item?
